About
In North-West London, born and raised
Playing ping pong is how she spent most of her days
Serving, top spinning, smashing all cool
And watching trash TV outside of school
When she realised a change would be good
And moved to Nottingham, a new neighbourhood
Where she studied for her undergrad in Chemistry and missed the city
And said “I’m moving back with my Master’s degree and family in London”
Research
Having completed a Master’s project involving activated carbons as electrodes for metal-sulphur batteries in Nottingham, Ami was inspired to start a PhD studying the synthesis and characterisation of materials for energy storage at UCL. She is interested in graphene and graphene composites as alternatives to conventional graphite anodes in lithium-ion batteries.
